As a result of a multitude of requests, and following the exceptionally positive response to our first cookbook (Andrew's Favorite Soups for Wellness and Weight-loss), Andrew and I have collaborated on a new cookbook designed to make it even easier for all of us to eat well. We answer the most common question we both receive: How can eating healthy be more enjoyable? This book responds by focusing on the foods that all of us know we should eat, but all of us consistently avoid eating because we never learned how to enjoy eating them. Today, I eat a diet rich in vegetables, but it was not always that way. Being raised in Paris, France came with its own set of traditional dietary challenges. Every meal seemed to come with abundance of bread, butter, potatoes and cream-based sauces. Clearly, I would have been better served by being raised in the South of France where the healthy Mediterranean diet has its roots, but we all inherit the diet of our upbringing. And in order to achieve my best health, I would need to overcome the traditional eating habits of a typically Parisian family. Ironically, I have now adopted a more Mediterranean (and Asian) style of eating where vegetables are prepared with healthy spices and herbs to replace the nonnutritious calories of a more Parisian (and American) traditional diet. It was not easy to leave behind those old Parisian ways, but once I learned how to prepare things differently, I not only enjoyed, but preferred the flavor and textures of the healthier foods I prepared. Plus I always would feel better after having eaten them. And once you try just a few of the recipes in this book, I am confident that you will feel the same way. Basically, my goal with this book is to help everyone discover what a pleasure it is both to prepare and eat extremely healthy vegetables like kale, collard greens, Swiss chard, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, asparagus and more. These are by far the healthiest of foods, but for most Americans (and even Parisians) only rarely consumed. As Andrew always reminds me, it is impossible to overstate the impact of what we eat (both good and bad) on the current and future state of our health. This easy-to-follow cookbook is intended to provide an opportunity to transform our lives by making foods that protect our health a delicious and normal part of our daily routine. Bon Appétit! Nice
I enjoyed this cook book! Every page came with a picture,ingredients and step by step to the meals which was nice. Not a lot of cookbooks has that these days. Very helpful for people who don't really know how to cook.

Love this!
I’m really enjoying this cookbook - very much how our family eats: low carb and lots of veggies. I originally bought this to get me to free shipping ha ha but am finding lots of wonderful recipes we’ve tried and ones to try soon. Thank you for this fantastic book!

Excellent!
Beautiful cookbook! I love the pictures, they inspire me to cook gorgeous, healthy food! The recipes are easy and delicious. I also love the lay-flat binding, a small but important detail. I have all of the cookbooks that have been provided so far, and hope there are more to come, they are my "go to" when I'm looking for a great recipe. Thank you both! P.S. I think Muriel should have her own cooking show!!!!

Fantastic recipes - LOVE SPIRAL BOUND!
All the cookbooks are great. They have all helped me branch out and discover things I never thought I would like. Asparagus soup? DELICIOUS! (Can't believe it)... I started with the sweet potato soup and made that over and over (fantastic) but then I realized I had to try the others. I loved every single recipe I tried. We make at least one soup a week. I love the Split Green Pea Soup; red, yellow, and orange pepper soup; zucchini and herb soup; cream of mushroom soup; onion soup; tomato soup; butternut squash soup; lentil soup; and his recipe for chicken stock. And the Turkey Chili is delicious. There are still many recipes that I haven't tried (spinach and chickpea, barley soup, there are a couple of other lentil soups, green curry thai soup with shrimp, etc.). One recipe that sounds weird to me is the Mango, Red Curry, Chicken soup. But I bet once I try it, I'll love it! That's how I felt about the asparagus soup... totally shocked at how delicious that was! I have all the cookbooks and they are all easy to follow. THANK YOU FOR THE SPIRAL BOUND AND QUALITY PAPER.
